Software costing and estimation (SCE) is a complex activity which involves predicting the cost, schedule and efforts for any software system. Since the beginning of computer era in 1940s software costing and estimation has been an important but a very difficult task as the size of software application has grown the importance of accuracy in software estimation has grown too.

The objective of the seminar will be to introduce the tools and techniques used to estimate the size, cost and effort of software. In addition to this the seminar will also discuss the impact of using multiple software estimation tools and techniques on the success rate of software projects.
